so we were at our newest mocha club artist, ernie halter's, show last week..and i was introduced to his friend and fellow musician, tony...
and oh how it brought back so many memories.

if you were a pre-teen in the early 90's, you're familiar with the revival of the mickey mouse club...MMC. it was recorded before a studio audience at the disney-MGM studios in florida, and don't worry -- i got to be in the audience when i was 12!! the show was a mix of live skits, recorded comedy, and songs. and it was the starting point for many of our favorite popstars...JC chasez, keri russell (my obsession with felicity is another story...), christina aguilera, justin timberlake, britney spears, and ryan gosling. oh, and tony lucca. well -- you may not know him...but he did have an acting career with kerri russell on the short-lived malibu shores. and then he went on to pursue music, and all these years later he still has talent...without all of the drama of many of the above-mentioned costars. i so badly wanted to bust out the MMC theme song, or tell him how much i loved him (and had the MMC CD...and waited in line for hours for their concert...) 15 years ago, but i figured that could get awkward. so instead i listened them play a great show...while my heart just smiled, and i giggled about how small the world is.
